Tsunami lashed the coastal areas of
the country causing thousands of deaths and about one million people displaced
from their homes. Many governments and humanitarian organizations around the
world have offered help in terms of food, shelter, and medicines. It’s our
utmost duty to help the victims in anyway we can through relief programmes to
support them while they're trying to rebuild their lives.
Dharmapala Institute and Berkeley Buddhist Vihara collectively appeal to all for
generous donations towards aiding the victims. We have decided to channel our
donations to the victims through the Ratmalana Mallikarama
Sarana Padanama
(Meaning
Foundation) registration # 5745. We are confident that Sarana Padanama, which
is a voluntary organization under the guidance of Mallikarama temple, will
render the best service for the money sent by us. Sarana Padanama has earned a
high credibility by serving underprivileged children and needy Sri Lankans for
about 10 years.
